Sorry food again

Hi paulinen,

Do you mean the Franciscan Inn on Bath St.? If so, you are probably within walking distance( a bit over 1 mile, but not much) to the Cajun Kitchen at 901 Chapala St. You can walk to State St. go up several blocks to Canon Perdido and make a left, cross Chapala St and it will be on your right at the corner of Chapala and Canon Perdido. I would recommend asking your concierge at the front desk for directions and they can tell you about a little shortcut thru the train station that will put you directly on Chapala St. You can also take the little blue electric shuttle at the base of the wharf and ride those few blocks up State St. if you think it is a longer walk than what you are looking for.

For Italian you might enjoy Ca Dario at 37 E Victoria, Olio Limone at 17 West Victoria...again the little blue shuttle can drop you off on State St. just a short walk to either restaurant. Within that 1 mile walking distance is Bucatini at 436 State St. Hope this is helpful.

We had a very nice meal at Olio e Limone. Great Italian food here! :)

Sorry beachgal, dont know where oak street came from. Was in my lunch hour at work and not paying attention

SBBeachGal is correct, the closest Cajan Kitchen to your location is on Chapala.

As for italian food, I think Pascucci%26#39;s (located on State Street) is a reasonably priced option with a full (and creative) Italian menu.

I%26#39;ll second Pascucci%26#39;s. It has become one of our favorites.

Emilios has fine food, service, the tables aren%26#39;t as crowded to each other as other Italian restaurants in the town and the ambience is excellent.
