Cheap but Clean Hotel

Can anyone suggest a relatively cheaper (around USD 90 per night), but clean hotel that is walking distance from DL.

Thanks.

Cheap but Clean Hotel

Hi OldfishCalgary,

I have stayed at both Carousel Inn and Park Vue Inn.

Both are very basic motel style rooms, within walking distance of Disneyland. Park Vue being the closest at about a 2-3 min walk, Carousel maybe 5 mins.

I found both to be clean and comfortable, by memory Park Vue Inn was slightly cheaper (both are very reasonable). One thing to note; the bedrooms of both properties face the main walkway for the hotel, and due to the excitement of Disneyland (!!) I found many small children and families making lots of noise early in the morning.

I have read a lot of good reviews about the Howard Johnson %26amp; Candy Cane Inn on this forum, but they are slightly further away...

Hope this helps, have a great time!

to recommend somewhere would need to know when you plan to go as hotel cost vary depending on what time of year it is, you may be able to get a nicer hotel in that price range if you are going in the off-season.

also need to know what your idea of walking distance is.

Our family of 5 stayed at the Anaheim Camelot Inn and Suites in June %26#39;08. It was very family friendly, offered a complimentary breakfast, clean, economical, and convenient.

I believe the cost of standard rooms start at $111.95/night.

We chose this location based on the good reviews posted on Trip Advisor and were very happy with our choice.

The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to Disneyland%26#39;s Main Gate, not long at all.

Ive stayed at the Anaheim Camelot Inn, Carousel Inn, and the Tropicana. Of those 3 i dont recommend the Tropicana, it was hot and musty but on the plus it was clean. The other 2 were also very clean and just nice all around :)

My wife and I have booked the Marriott Fairfield Inn from 8/18-8/22. We got a rate of between $90-$100 per night but were required to pay for the entire thing ahead of time with no refund for cancellation. This was no problem for us as we have set travel dates. The hotel seems to get decent reviews and is well within walking distance.

I just got back from a trip to DL earlier this month. We, my wife and I, stayed at the Desert Inn and Suites for about 109 a night. Our experience with them wasn%26#39;t bad but I have not seen too many good reviews here on TA for them.

Hope you have a wonderful trip

Ryan

When we don%26#39;t stay in a Disney hote we always stay at the Candy Cane Inn. It is about $120 - $139 a night.

But with that price you get a lot of great things.

First off it is really close it is about a 7 min walk to the parks (but is really depends on how fast you walk). O also think it may be a little less then others because it is not next to any other hotels which means less walking crowds and you dont have to wait for any cross walk. Also if you do not feel like walking at all the Candy Cane Inn offers their own private shuttle that runs every 15 min.

The rooms are very nice. They are a little smaller then the others in the area but most people are not in the rooms all day. They are also very clean. When we also stay here I find that many Canadians stay here, so maybe you will like it? : )

The Hotel also offers a complimentry breakfst which is served around the pool area. The breakfast consits of cereal, fruit, toast, muffins, danish, bagels, and doughnuts. We really like it as it is the perfect start to a long day at the parks.

The hotel grounds are also very nice with the whole parking lot donw it brick pavers. As well as many trees, flowers, plants and shrubs around the property. At the enrance there is a nice large fountain.
