Hi. Can someone please advise of the typical drive time from the Beverly Hills area to LAX? I will need to be at LAX for an 8:00 AM flight on Tuesday, July 15th. Taking into account the traffic on a weekday, and dropping off a rental car, what would be a decent time to leave to ensure I arrive on time? Thanks in advance.

The TSA advises getting to the terminal 2 hours before your flight for domestic flights. IMHO, that%26#39;s a bit excessive, but better safe than sorry, so you should target arriving at the terminal at 6AM. If you left Beverly Hills at 5AM when there is almost no traffic, you could probably make it to the rental car company in 30 minutes (40 at most, assuming you take surface streets to 405 freeway, then 405 freeway to LAX). Usually they are pretty quick returning the car, then from the rental agency another 15 minutes or so to get their shuttle to the terminal. That%26#39;ll get you to the terminal around 6AM. I would say leave later, but if you leave much past 5:30 AM you%26#39;re gonna hit traffic and then the 30-40 minutes from BH to the rental car company will increase.

Thanks, Mach! That%26#39;s about what I was thinking, too! I was hoping that the rush hour traffic wouldn%26#39;t have started by 5:00, but didn%26#39;t know for sure. Thanks, again!
I%26#39;d leave at 5:30.
It shouldn%26#39;t take more than 15 minutes to get to LAX at that time (Santa Monica Blvd to 405), but you don%26#39;t know how long it will take to return the car at that time, might be crowded.
Security at LAX takes forever, and early morning flights are the most popular. 2 hours is necessary, just to clear security.
