Expect Large Crowds?

We are planning on spending two days at Disneyland/DCA October 9 and 10. Should we expect any kind of crowds? Also, do they have the parades and fireworks on Thursdays and Fridays? I tried going on their website calendar, but October info. isn%26#39;t available. Thanks. :)

Well because you are going in October I wouldnt expect to bog of a crowd.

Actually because you are at Disneyland you are going to know its busy but summer busy or christmas busy? No. I always find this time of the year a little less crowded and more enjoyable.

I just noticed you are from phoenix. I am from chandler. Most of the poeple I find that go to Disneyland in October are the ones from AZ and out of the country. Its because we are on our fall break.

Yes they do have fireworks for sure on fridays not so sure about thursdays but they may judging from previous visits. There is also a parade every day usually around 7:oo pm.

Because you are going in October the parks will be in Halloween mode. They will all be decorated for Halloween with pumkins along Main street, the charcters are in the Halloween costumes and there are some special halloween shows and entertainment in both parks. The Haunted Mansion is also decorated for teh Holiday season. It is more christmas but is have a little halloween flair because they are haunted charchters I guess you cold say.

It has not been confirmed yet but there may be a Halloween Parade and or fireworks show that will just re-theme the current parade and fireworks.

One last thing you may want to look in to. There is a special Halloween party over in DCA (California Adventure). It is called Mickey%26#39;s Not So Scary Halloween Party. You and your kids can dress up in your costumes and go trick or treating around the park, take pictures with charcters, ride rides, and there is even a special Hallowen Parade. I think last years tickets were around $25 so I am asumming they are the same. Check disneyland.com for prices.

As for the Calendar I would say It would be up in within the next month so keep checking back. And when you are there be sure to ride the New Toy Story Mania.

We enjoyed our early Oct trip a few years ago. Crowds were down, most rides were open and we got to do the Nightmare at Christmas Haunted Mansion.

We were there during the week, no fireworks. Parades usually every day at both parks.

Keep checking the Disneyland website. They will post the Oct dates soon. We are going in mid Nov, long weekend break from school!!!
