I will be in Santa Monica for 5 nigths and West Hollywood (2 Nights) between the 04 Sept %26amp; 11th. We are looking to head out most nights and am just wondering for the best places to head for a good, lively night?
Nightlife for 4 guys between 21-25 (Santa Monica %26amp; West Hol)In Santa Monica, just walk Ocean Avenue and Main Street, and Abbot Kinney and take your pick. Wherever you think it%26#39;s best, go in. It depends whether you want super upscale, super hip, or just a bar. Penthouse at Huntley is great, drinks are about $18 each. Same with Viceroy Hotel. Then there%26#39;s places like Chez Jay, Circle Bar, World Cafe, O%26#39;Briens, King%26#39;s Head, Chloe... And there%26#39;s lots of happening bars inside restaurants like MaKai and Boa and Sushi Roku and Tengu...

Narrow it down a little, what kinda places were you looking for? L.A. is also a huge happy hour place where you can enjoy drinks and food at discounted or even half price. So many options....
Tell us more about what type of nightlife you prefer. There is everything in LA from laid back bars to nightclubs and high end lounges. When in WeHo, you%26#39;ll probably want to check out Sunset Strip one night and Hollywood 10 mins away the other night.

I figured there would be a loada places.
Well.....in Santa Monica we all pretty much want to go to places where there is a great atmosphere, laid back very sociable and where the price of a beer or drink isn%26#39;t huge. Music isn%26#39;t an issue as well like all styles really so will be good to mix it up.
In Hollwood we will probably aim to go to more high end priced bars, maybe fairly fancy but still somewhere you can go and enjoy yourself.
Will it be a problem, the fact we will be as a group of 4 guys?
Yeah, 4 guys will always have a hard time getting into a fancy spot in Hollywood. Just message me on here the week you come out and i will make sure to be at a club when you come to Hollywood to get you in.
As for Santa Monica, there are plenty of laid back bars along Main Street, you also have Yankee Doodles and Barnies Beanery on the promenade, both fun sportsbars with some great happy hour drinkprices
In Santa Monica, head to Main Street. It%26#39;s a stretch of several blocks with plenty of laid back bars. You%26#39;ll have no problems getting in. You can easily spend a couple nights around there visiting various bars. You can also take a 5 min cab ride to Abbott Kinney Blvd in Venice one night and check out the Otheroom and the Brig. Another night, you can just walk over to the Promenade and check out Cabo Cantina, Barney%26#39;s, etc. If you want something more upscale, go to the Viceroy on either Friday or Sat night. And another night, you can take a 5 min cab to Busby%26#39;s, Holly%26#39;s, and other bars in that area in eastern part of SM. www.yelp.com has a list of all bars in each area with reviews. Check it out.
In West Hollywood, you can walk around places on Sunset Strip. Laid back bars are Red Rock, Cabo Cantina, Rainbow Room, SaddleRanch etc where you can get in with no problems. They all have great cheap happy hours too. More upscale places are SkyBar, Bar Marmont, The Standard, etc.
In Hollywood, you%26#39;ll have a hard time getting into popular clubs. Make sure to dress nice and get there early (around before 11pm) even if you%26#39;re on the list. There are laid back bars around to choose from as well like Big Wangs, the Well, Cat %26amp; The Fiddle, Burgundy Room, etc. You can even see a show at Hotel Cafe, a small venue on Cahuenga.

Don%26#39;t hang out at bars on the Promenade unless you only want to meet tourists. If you want to meet girls, pretty, local, girls, go to places like MaKai, Tengu, Chloe, World Cafe, O%26#39;Briens, Main, Circle Bar, Brig, Otheroom (the last 5 are on Main Street or Abbot Kinney in Venice).
There%26#39;s a great Moroccan restaurant on Sunset and Stanley that has bellydancers. That would be fun for a bunch of guys.........It%26#39;s called Dar Maghreb.
