Which Napa tour to do from SF?

Friday, September 12th myself and two friends have all day and night in San Fran, after two days in SF, we want want to do a tour of Napa Valley with wine tasting naturally. Which tour would you recommend that leaves from San Fran to Nap? Looking for a day trip, not an overnight. Thanks in advance.

I%26#39;ve heard good things about Beau Tours and Platypus Tours. I think that they are affiliated and Beau Tours does more private tours while Platypus does more group tours. They are just two of many tour guide companies available but be sure to use a Napa based company so that you get somebody who knows the area.

You may have more luck on the SF boards if you%26#39;re looking for a company that picks up in SF.

Karen%26#39;s suggestions are great. We would add Napa Valley Winery Shuttle as well. Both the shuttle and Platypus offer structured tours, with other couples/singles, in a small shuttle van.

Both get rave reviews from our guests.

These tours typically pick up in Napa, not in SF. So you%26#39;d need to drive in (and back) if you chose a local company.

As Karen says, it really does make a difference to hire someone who has local knowledge (makes for a much more interesting and informative day!).
