PS 4 nights - help me plan!

Hi

We are 2 adults + 13 yr old boy. The chill time before our AZ road trip. (If 40c + can be called chill!)

We are staying at the Del Marcos for 4 nights so we%26#39;ll have 3 clear days in PS.

Any suggestions what to do? the plan so far...

Arr Wed 23 July PM

Explore hotel locale and main street, pool

Thursday 24th Shopping, cable car (aerial tramway) %26amp; pool. Evening.. Villagefest

Friday 25th water park (soak city) + art museum + cruise around looking at architecture

Saturday 26th PioneerTown and Joshua Tree NP round trip

Sunday 27th drive to Prescott (anything to see on way?!)

I would plan to be at Soak City as soon as they open as it gets very crowded and you%26#39;ll want to find some shade.

Pioneertown would not be on my list of things to do, especially in July, but if you are set on it, also go very early.

Plan to eat dinner downtown on Thursday night as part of Village Fest. All of the places along Palm Canyon Drive have street views. A favorite is Matchbox Pizza ( which is not just a pizza place ) it%26#39;s upstairs and you could sit outside, looking out over the street fair.
