Wine train

Chien1465-

The Wine Train is an eating excursion that leaves from the wine train station in the town of Napa and goes ';upvalley'; to the town of St Helena, where it turns around and comes back to Napa. Note that it does NOT stop at wineries-- they serve lunch, or dinner to guests as they enjoy the wonderfully restored train cars and beautiful scenery of the Napa Valley.

Thanks for the info I guess I was misinformed on this if it doesn%26#39;t serve wine then why get onboard LOL

The Wine Train certainly serves wine, but you asked if the wine train stops at wineries which it does not do. Two different things.

Certainly the wine train is not the way to go to visit a number of wineries for wine tastings and tours. However, its website does mention the possibility of a stop at a winery. See http://winetrain.com/about.php

You are so correct--- the Napa Wine train serves LOTS of wine! :)

But it needs to be noted that the cost of the ticket only covers the excursion and the meal. Wine costs extra.

Which is why we%26#39;re in the habit of saying it%26#39;s a ';meal excursion';-- because wine is not included in the price.

Sorry we didn%26#39;t make that more clear. Our bad. :(

Thanks for clarifying, Suzie! :D
