15 Seater Passenger Van Rental

Does anyone know of a reputable rental company we can hire a 15 Seater Passenger van for the best part of 2 weeks in October 2008? We need to hire it from SFO and return it to LAX.

All advice welcome.

You might consider 2 smaller vans -- at least, for part of your trip since there will be times when you will want to separate from each other -- 1/2 of you may want to go shopping, whilst the other half wants to go drinking!

Be careful about the ';mileage charges'; for these vehicles. For example. Alamo.com offers 2 minivans (an 8-passenger van and a 7-passenger van) both of which include UNLIMITED mileage. Most 15-seat rentals include a ';per mile'; surcharge.

Remember, gasoline is an expensive part of renting a vehicle. If you can drive a smaller vehicle part of the time (if only half of you wish to go somewhere), it will be less expensive than driving the bigger one. In addition, the smaller vehicle will be A LOT easier to park since lots of parking structures offer lots of ';compact spaces'; and, sometimes don%26#39;t have spaces big enough for the larger vans (except in the ';handicap spaces'; -- which are only available to those who have physical disabiities -- and the placard to prove it.

Lastly, whenever you compare bids, remember to include insurance, Some of the webistes, Alamo.com, Hertz.com, Avis.com, etc, will ask you for your country of origin so that they include the appropriate insurance coverage but some websites omit the insurance from their quotes until such time as you pick up the vehicle.

Good luck!

You can try www.passenger-van-rentals.com 1-800-894-6102 they have service for 15 passenger van rentals all over United States From New York , Florida to California.

Good Luck

Enterprise leases vans as far as I know up to 14-passenger (15-passenger requires a bus drivers license in California); you might want to inquire whether they rent also. Other leasers in the area a Midway and VPSI (but as far as I know don%26#39;t also do car rentals).
