Marriott Courtyard F. Wharf or Shell Hospitality Suites?

I posted earlier re. Shell suites. I am trying to decide which place to stay. Want convenience and ability to walk to restaurants, etc. Are Shell suites in a quiet area? I know the cable cars run right out front and they will try to place us in a suite in the rear of the building where it will be more quiet. I like the idea of having a suite with the convenience of a kitchen, living area. The Marriott will be one room with two beds and not much wiggle room. Is one accomodation in a quieter area, more convenient. If we werent touring with my grown kids, i would stay in the financial district or more ';uphill,'; but this is a family getaway and neither child has seen SFO, so we want to be in a convenient location.

Thanks.

I don%26#39;t know if you know this but Fisherman%26#39;s Wharf is not as convenient as Union Square is for location and central to public transit. in my other reply to your first post I mentioned other hotels not far from fisherman%26#39;s wharf because I understand you want to be up in that area. Union Square has access to MUNI, BART and any shopping and dining you could hope to do.

If staying at Fisherman%26#39;s Wharf, The Courtyard Marriott would be a better location than Shell Hospitality. You could phone the Courtyard Marriott and request a suite for more room:

No suites at the Courtyard. We def want a kitchen/living room. I looked into Cow Hollow Suites and they have two out of four nights reserved in hopes that the other two nights become available. It has been so long since we were in SFO that I really cannot decide which location will be better for our family. Really like to walk and feel FW might be more walkable. In Union Square, we would probably have to depend on public transportation. We would like to be able to walk to restaurants at nights. So you recommend CYard over SHell Hospitality Suites. Your thoughts on Cow Hollow???

yes, Cow Hollow Suites is great and Chestnut, Lombard, Fillmore, Union Streets all have great places to dine and a lively bar scene. Better dining and bar scene than anywhere at Fisherman%26#39;s Wharf. tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g60713-d112293-鈥?/a>

you can catch buses easily -- #s 22, 45, 30, 28, 43, and on Van Ness #47, 49, plus you can also walk along the Marina to see the GG Bridge, the SF Bay, and walk to F. Wharf if you like getting outdoors. Dress in layers because the wind can be damp up there during late afternoon and evening.
