4th fireworks, best place near squaw ?

we are staying at Squaw Valley Village for the 4th. I know it is a bit out there but where can we go to see some of the great fireworks over the lake?

I know of camp Richardson, but think it may be too far?

The Village at Squaw Valley USA. Huge and colorful laser show and free concert at the base of the mountain. The Heartbreaker band will play the sounds of Led Zeppelin to the amazing and colorful lasers as they light up the peaks of Squaw Vally.

we saw that although we are more interested in fireworks. I just made reservations at the eagle grill at the Hyatt.. I guess that would get us onto the beach for fireworks. Does anyone know is the beach crazy?

Yes, the Hyatt is where we go to see fireworks, but we are staying here this week at the resort, so get the wristsbands that day, to be allowed on their beach. It%26#39;s an excellent show. What time are your dinner reservations?

we went with the 5pm slot, it is about $20 cheaper per person and I figure we will be done around 7 pm and hang out for a couple hours at the beach. They said the wristband is included which is good. I think it will be the easiest thing to do if everywhere else is crowded?

Do they have chairs on the beach?

You are smart to take the earlier seating. We don%26#39;t even move our car that day, the parking lots and streets begin to fill up in the morning. The Hyatt beach boys give the lounge chairs out on a first come basis in the evening. You used to be able to tip them $20 to save them for you, so you could walk down later, but they changed the policy to make it fair for all. The earlier, the better in your case.

Thanks for all your input. We are looking forward to it. I think they said they have valet, I think that might be easier that trying to find a place ourselves. I know it is going to be a bit crazy around the lake that day.. hopefully it will be worth it :).

Yes, there is valet down at the Lone Eagle, but limited parking spaces. Skip the hotel valet, that will be gone by lunch...LOL But continue on down the street to the restaurant on Country Club Dr. There will be guards there too at the gate, looking at your wristbands, or they have a clipboard with dinner reservations names on it to let you through. Did they take a credit card number for dinner?

We%26#39;re here at the Hyatt now, and Incline is all decorated for the holiday!

Oh thanks for the valet info, I did not realize there were two valet locations.

They did not ask or a cc, I thought they would. I did call twice to confirm, maybe I will ask again..

I am excited to go, can%26#39;t wait to see all the decorations.
