Best Wineries/Wine tasting Anderson Valley?

Hello- We%26#39;ll be headed down towards Anderson Valley from Fort Bragg for some wine tasting 4th of July weekend. I%26#39;m not familiar with the area. Which are the ';Dont Miss'; tasting rooms? Are they all open on Sundays?

Thanks!

Along #128 thru the Anderson Valley you%26#39;ll have lots of great choices of wineries to visit. My favorites are clustered around the Philo area (just north of Boonville): Navarro (Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Pinot and Zin), Greenwood Ridge (Zin, Pinot Gris, Late Harvest Riesling--the best!), Roederer (sparkling wines), Husch (Cab, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay), and Handley (Viognier, Pinot Gris, Pinot and Syrah). Scharffenberger and Goldeneye also make great stops. All should be open on Sun. For more info. on Anderson Valley wineries go to www.avwines.com, and for Mendocino County wines www.mendowine.com

All of the advice so far is great. There is a good tasting room right in Boonville that has a couple of good wineries. Also, don%26#39;t miss Meyer Family Cellars in Yorkville for some excellent Port!

Also, Standish and Breggo, both near Boonville, are newer and worth stopping at. Bottom line - your can%26#39;t really go wrong.

Have fun!
