Is this post inappropriate?

Or just monotonous?

Wow, was that disclaimer always there - or did they just make the font larger?

there%26#39;s a post about it in the off-topic forum:

tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g1-i9659-k2079420-…

someone in the staff replied:

We saw this thread thanks to some emails to the forum support team and wanted to address a few of your concerns about the changes to report inappropriate posts. (In case you%26#39;re wondering why it keeps coming and going, it%26#39;s because we%26#39;re testing it on a fraction of the TripAdvisor audience.)

As the forums have become wildly popular, it has become more of a challenge to keep up with all the content that gets posted; in order for us to keep the forums free of inappropriate content, we%26#39;re testing out this feature that allows members to vote on the ';appropriateness'; of forums posts.

Based on your feedback, we%26#39;ll be making changes next week so that it%26#39;s less of a distraction, and we%26#39;ll continue to improve the system based on the data and feedback we get so please give this feature a chance and use it wisely. It would be a great help to have your cooperation.

Just have a look at the New York city forum - there have been 29 posts on this topic since yesterday!

Its really distracting.............

Makes me feel like tapping the YES button just cause its there.

It IS a bit overly-apparent. Maybe they should just unbold it. I%26#39;m just glad they have the feature. The ';This OLD HOUSE'; website message/comment boards seem to be unmonitored and are often filled with innapropriate and sometimes offensive smut.

Looks like it%26#39;s changed already. The yes/no version doesn%26#39;t make much sense. How often would you click no?

Craigslist does something similar, but I think it only triggers a forum moderator is so many people flag it.

Nice to know that TripAdvisor is continuing to evolve.
