Hello, this is my first time posting! We arrive in Tahoe July 12 for a week’s visit, and are just wondering if there are any adverse conditions with all the wildfires. I’ve been checking the local weather and it sounds like there’s been some smoke, but it’s clearing up? We’re supposed to be taking a scenic drive along the northern Cal coast the following week, up into southern Oregon, but we’re considering changing that b/c of the fires. Any advice? We could try heading to the Yosemite area I suppose, or sticking around Tahoe. I know it’s hard to predict what the situation will be like in a few days let alone a few weeks. Thanks so much for your help!
Lake Tahoe affected by wildfires?
Tahoe is better offf than many surrounding areas as far as smoke goes. Here%26#39;s a link to some web cams so you can monitor the situation:

Lake Tahoe affected by wildfires?
Thanks very much! These will be very helpful.
I drove up from SoCal yesterday. The east side of Tahoe had very little smoke. I sat out on my deck yesterday afternoon. The smoke was so bad in Truckee that my black and white cat came in looking gray and black. It%26#39;s hazy today, but much better.
Thank you, Spotcat, for your insight. Hopefully it will keep getting better for everyone there!
