We (mom, dad and 13-year-old son) will spend one night (Friday night) in LA before heading down to SD for a week in a rental house. Right now I have the Travelodge booked at Fountain and Sunset. Our flight arrives at Ontario Airport on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Saturday we have tickets to the Aflac All American Game that is being held at Dodgers Stadium at noon and from there will head down to SD. On Friday we want to do the Warner Bros tour and possibly see a few other sites like Walk of Fame, etc. Is the hotel I have booked a good choice? Any other suggestions? I would like to keep it under $150 to $175 if possible and it%26#39;s always nice to have ';free breakfast'; even if it%26#39;s just a muffin and coffee. We will have a car and thought of staying out by LAX but not sure if that is way out of the way. A suite would be better but two beds will work for the one night for us.
Thanks for any input!
hotel suggestion for one night in August?
LAX is extremely out of the way if you%26#39;re going to Dodger Stadium and see Walk of Fame, etc.
I don%26#39;t know of a Travelodge at Fountain and Sunset (they don%26#39;t even intersect). But at this late date, you%26#39;ll be hard pressed to get a reservation anywhere, and there%26#39;s certainly nothing in that price range, in LA.
hotel suggestion for one night in August?
Sorry - the travelodge is Hollywood, Vermont/Sunset.
Why would you stay near LAX (southwest corner of Los Angeles) when you%26#39;re arriving at Ontario (east of Los Angeles)? You%26#39;d be driving across the entire L.A. metropolitan area from your airport to your hotel and when you got there, you wouldn%26#39;t be anywhere near the attractions you want to see.
Staying in the Hollywood area is your best bet. The hotel you%26#39;ve chosen is okay. Given your budget and the short notice for changing hotels (during peak season), I%26#39;d stay put.
BTW, I just noticed a typo in some instructions I gave to you in Aptil. The address of the starting location for the Warner Bros tour is 3400 Riverside, not 34 Riverside.
