Need suite recommendation for family, close to Disneyland

We%26#39;re traveling the last week of Sept to SoCa and are looking for a hotel that has suites to stay in. Because we%26#39;re traveling with 2 young children who are both light sleepers, it is important that we have a suite with a separate bedroom. Our other priorities that it is within easy walking distance to Disney%26#39;s entrance and that it has a decent pool.

I%26#39;ve been looking at the Holiday Inn Express Maingate-any feedback? I%26#39;d love other recommendations

Thanks@

Need suite recommendation for family, close to Disneyland

Hello,

We in August of last year we stayed at the Residence Inn Anaheim Resort Area. We orginally booked a standard room but were upgraded to a family suite.

The room we had has 2 bedrooms. A Kids one and an Adult one, as well as a full kitchen and a family room with a small little dining area. I am not quite sure waht we paid but I think it was around $150 a night.

The kids room had bunkbeds, its own bathroom and a tv. It also had a small table and tiny chairs for the little kids. The adult room had its own bathroom, a king or queen size bed (not sure) and its own tv. The family room had its own tv an a pull out couch. The room was very nice and clean. This hotel is a little farther away from disneyland, but it is really nice. You can walk (which is a little) or you can take the ART shuttle which has a stop right outside the hotel.

This hotel also offered a a great complimentry breakfast every morning. It had a lot of great things like pancakes, breakfast burittos, cereal, make your own waffels, eggs, suasage, bacon, and alll kinds of other stuff.

There are also a couple of other suite hotels which are right across the street from disneyland however I have never stayed in any of them. We usually stay at the Candy Cane Inn or in one of the disney hotels which also offer suites but are expensive.

I am not sure how much money you want to spend but the Disneyland Hotel has 18 new kid style rooms. They have 9 Mickey rooms and 7 princess rooms. These rooms have twin beds with all of the fun Mickey decor or princess decor. The rooms are adjoined to a regular room. It did not state how much they were when I looked at a press realease however I thought it is kinda fun for little kids.

The hotels that are across the street from disneyland and have suites that I know of are the Carousel Inn and Suites, The Tropicana Inn and Suites, The Castle Inn and Suites, Camelot Inn and Suites, and the list goes on. Pretty much tehy are all Inn and Suites!

The pools of these hotels are a little small as space is limited and they need the parking for the hotel rooms, But soem of them are a pretty good size for what they have avalible.

The prices for these hotels I would say could be anywhere from $100 and up. I am kinda surpirsed sometimes when I look for a room and the price I get back is expensive.

Message me for anymore questions.

We just had a 5 night stay at the Anaheim Camelot Inn and Suites. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Disneyland/Disney California Adventure entrance.

We booked a suite, and it was very roomy, clean, and comfortable. I am a very light sleeper too, that is why we decided on the suite room.

There is a continental breakfast offered every morning. It consists of fruit, cereals, muffins, danish, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, and juices. Not too fancy, but adequate.

We really enjoyed our stay here, and will book our future reservation here as well.

I was going to recommmend the Camelot Inn %26amp; Suites also. They have a suite with one bedroom (with 2 Queen beds and the bathroom) and then a separate living area with a sofa, King bed, dining table and chairs, wet bar, micro, and fridge.

We stayed at the Camelot in June 08 and it was great. Very short walk to the park (like 8 minutes with a slow 3 year old).

I HIGHLY recommend staying at a property within very short walking distance when you have young children. I was glad we didn%26#39;t have to drive %26amp; park (ride in the parking shuttle) or take the other crowded ART shuttles. It%26#39;s much easier just to walk.
