Alright we are going to try and experience Disneyland in one day on a friday during september, hopefully with crowds not to big even though there is a convention on at the time.
We leave San Diego early in the morning and travel to our hotel Doubletree Guest Suites Anaheim, will we be able to check in really early and leave our luggage for them to put in the room when it is ready?? We want to head to disneyland straight away and we wont be arriving there till 10.
Any attractions we should miss? We only want to see the best that disneyland has to offer
One Day at Disneylandthe best rides are
1..indianna jones
2.haunted mansion
3. pirates of the carribean
4.splash mountain
5.star tours (rollar coaster thru space)
6.big thunder railroad
7.its a small world.
they are the most popular and they are real good.
the main street parade is good too need to get there early for a good seating possy.

One Day at Disneylandthanks paula for the reply
i should also add according to the caldender on the disneyland website Haunted Mansion will be closed when we are there and also we would like to avoid rides where we get really wet. There will just be two of us, no children.
It%26#39;s A Small World will be closed during the time you are there as it will still be undergoing its extensive refurb.
Two of my favorites that Paula didn%26#39;t mention are Space Mountain and the Jungle Cruise. Buzz Lightyear%26#39;s Astroblasters and the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage are also great attractions that I try not to miss when I%26#39;m there.
Hi TravelJess!
Can I suggest you buy a $2 poncho/raincoat before you come? I dont think it would be the same without a ride on Splash mountain and Pirates (Splash mountain you can get really wet, Pirates generally only a splash). Honestly they are both worth it, and the poncho will protect you from most of the splashes. My Must rides in Disneyland are:
Splash Mountain, Pirates, Jungle cruise, Indiana Jones, Matterhorn, Star Tours, and Space Mountain. I would avoid ALL the kiddie rides. But thats just me- others may disagree.
Another thing to try is the Dole Pineapple whip near the Tikki Room. They are so light and delicious :)
Have fun %26amp; try and get the poncho if possible!!

Actually, I like the Peter Pan ride, even though it is a bit %26#39;kiddie%26#39;.
Indiana Jones is my favorite though, %26amp; there are some interesting things as you wait in line. Try to do it as early as possible.
My other %26#39;must do%26#39;s%26#39; are Splash Mountain, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain %26amp; Haunted Mansion.
Maybe I should have rephrased that to: If you have any time left over, you should go on the kiddies rides :)
Each to their own- depends if you prefer thrill rides, or rides that are a little more tame??

give you an overview of the park %26amp; rides
PP is right telling you to miss the Kiddie rides as most aren%26#39;t that special.
Disneyland is a magical place, you will have a wonderful time. We%26#39;ll be there for 3 days the week before you, just after Labour Day.
Don%26#39;t miss the Pirates ride, a meal at Blue Bayou would be nice. The Enchanted Tiki Room is also fun! :)
As good as your dollar is doing against ours, consider springing for the Park Hopper ticket, which also allows you admission into California Adventure. There are a couple rides there that are every bit as good as the best in Disneyland. In particular, I%26#39;m thinking about Soarin%26#39; Over California, Tower of Terror, and possibly California Screamin%26#39;.
Since you only have one day, and it%26#39;s your first time, I wouldn%26#39;t waste any of it in Blue Bayou.
I also hope you have a great time Ellenwillow!! Not long to go now! (Well compared to me counting down for November!)
I agree with Mistletoe- I would also try and get a hopper ticket that allows you access to California Adventure. Soaring over California is probably one of my favourite rides ever! And tower of terror is excellent too....although not for the faint of heart!
If you time everything very carefully, you can get to see all the rides I have mentioned- make sure to use the ';fast passes';. (Darkbeer has posted a lot of information on this system if you are not familiar with it.)
