if my teenage sons were lined up would I be able to take their tickets and get them a fast pass at another ride as long as they had their tickets back by the time they got to the front of the queue?

Getting fast passes for other people
Kjb 148 , Your Disneyland tickets are needed only for two things, one, to get into the park and two, to get fastpasses. Once you are in the park, you will not need your tickets to get on the rides. So you could go and get a fastpass for all of you while they ride on a ride. Hope that makes sense.
Getting fast passes for other people
Thank you so much!!! I predict much happy tramping for Mum while the boys are queueing (I get motion sick so a lot of the rides would turn me green!)Have looked at canny ways of maximising fast passes but think the boys would be better occupied queueing than tramping from one machine to another

But don%26#39;t forget, you can really only have one fastpass per ticket at the one time - or until the time on the fast pass ticket passes...
Hope that makes sense...
Actually there are ways to get more than one Fastpass at one time....
The first key issue, that the ticket was used to enter the park. So if you go early in the day, while the rest of the party stays in the Hotel, this will NOT work. But once the Ticket has been used to enter EITHER Disneyland or DCA, then it is valid in all the FP machines in both parks. So one person can gather all the tickets after entering and go and grab FastPasses and then return to the group.
Full details on how FastPass works and how you can get more than one FP at the same time can be found here at TA....

Thankyou Darkbeer,
I%26#39;ve already printed off your brilliant tips. Hoping to maximise our stay and minimise our queueing
