restaurant with city views

Hi everyone,

I am trying to plan a nice dinner for a birthday with a nice city view.. I am thinking about Bertrands at Mr. A%26#39;s or something along those lines. What are your thoughts on the restaurant itself? How about the food? I heard the view at Bertrands is spectacular, which is why I am considering it. Any other ideas? Last year we went to Peohe%26#39;s and loved it. We have also been to the Marine Room, which was wonderful as well. Thanks in advance for your expertise! =)

The restaurant is posh. They used to actually have a dress code but I think it has been relaxed. I am sure you have looked at the menu so you know it is inspired by French cooking. It should be a wonderful birthday venue.

Island Prime! Fantastic view of the downtown skyline from across San Diego Bay at Harbor Island. Pretty in the day with all the sailboats, reflective glow on the skyline at sunset and city lights at night.

The Bay front path is a nice place to stroll also.

riffsmom, thank you! Yes, I have looked at the website and menu, they even offer a vegetarian option, which is nice. I heard about when it used to be just Mr. A%26#39;s and how elegant was.

Island-devil, so funny, I was wondering about Island Prime too! It gets good reviews and has a nice menu also.. It even has a pretty extensive drink menu.. The view sounds very nice also! thank you!
