Oct napa trip...feedback please.

I would love some feedback on what to expect from my choices I have worked a bit with my concierge, but need some other feedback..Oct.1... driver bringing us in from SF..stopping at Domaine carneros for some morning bubbles..lunch at cindys backstreat kitchen.3:00 DelDotto in st Helena. Staying at the Auberge and we will have dinner there that night. Day 2 10:00 Quintessa, 12:00 Forman then back to Auberge to enjoy the pool. French Laundry for dinner. Day 3 12:00 lunch and tasting at Kuleto Estate. We then go back to San Francisco..We are 3 couples who love fun and also enjoy nice travel. A couple of the guys really love and appreciate good reds,..but I really want our visits to be beautiful spots. So are my picks any good. Debating whether to add one more stop (Anomaly or Sinsky..I can get into either)on day 1 afer Domaine Carneros Also any ideas of one more stop on way back to san fran? Thanks much!

Hi Kari,

I%26#39;ve lived in Napa for 21 years, and it sounds like you%26#39;ve lived up some top picks. We have always loved Terra, in St Helena. They are open for dinner the days that you are visiting. Maybe substitute one of your meals at Auberge?

Domaine Chandon also makes some good reds, Pinots Noir and Munier. Bell Winery would be on your way, and is located a little south of Yountville. I think that their reds are good, and fairly priced.

I%26#39;m a fan of an obscure family winery in Mt Veeder, Rubiseau Sargent. Great views, fine reds, and old time feel

Cole%26#39;s Chop House in Napa is great eats, as well as Go Fish in St Helena, which is co-owner by Cindi Paulson.

Too many wines, too many great eateries, too little time.

Cheers, Mathew Hudson

Great suggestions by Mathew!

We always like to keep the clothes pins from French Laundry. They are happy to give them to you, and it makes for a fun conversation piece. :)

Opus One is always fun during harvest (more to see on the tour), and while their wines are not yet ';dialed in'; (some work to do yet), Castello di Amorosa is a fab visit if you like castles.

Darioush has some fab reds, and the architecture is an homage to their Persian ancestors.

On your way back, if you go via the GG bridge, you may want to visit Artesa in the Carneros. Beautiful winery, w/great views.

Have a wonderful time in the Napa Valley! :)

I like the suggestion for Artesa, we had a great time there this past March. Terra is very good, Cindy Pawlcyn also has Cindy%26#39;s Backstreet Kitchen in St. Helena that is very nice. Have fun! :)

I second Artesa. It was such a beautiful and interesting place. Also, Folio down the street is a great stop too. Lots of good (and affordable!) wines to try and a beautiful porch so you can sit outside!
