Marriot Coronado Island Resort to Chargers Game???

Hi there, we will be attending the game on oct 12 and we are staying at the Marriot Coronado Island Resort. Is there shuttle to the game from somewhere around there or what would be the best way to get there and back? Also since it is a Sunday night game we will probably want to watch the previous 2 games somewhere close or even there at the Stadium. Is there an all day tailgating area there or how do you all do it in San Diego??

Thanks,

Skawtty

If you don%26#39;t have a car, one way to get to the game would be to take the ferry to Downtown and then the San Diego MTS trolley to the Stadium. It will take awhile, but fairly scenic. For the games before, there are lots of sports bars in downtown. Buster%26#39;s Beach House in Seaport Village has the games and is right on the water.

Thanks info!

Since it is a night game you%26#39;d best check the ferry/water taxi times for return to Coronado. There is a water taxi that runs between the Coronado Marriott and the Marina Marriott, with an easy walk to the Trolley

thx

To get to the game, you can walk from the ferry landing to the Santa Fe Depot station and ride the Trolley* north to Qualcomm Stadium.

After the game, be aware that the last ferry on Sundays is at 9:00. After 9:00, you will need to take a bus instead. The bus picks up at the 12th %26amp; Imperial station, which is at the south end of downtown. All Trolleys* serve this station as well as Santa Fe Depot. Route 901 drops off on 3rd Street in Coronado, which is a few blocks from your hotel. Your $5 Trolley day pass is also good on the bus.

*Note: MTS recently instituted several changes on its services, and it is unclear from the Web site if direct Trolley service between 12th %26amp; Imperial, Santa Fe Depot, and Old Town still operates. If so, then great. If not, then you will have to transfer between trains at the Old Town station. You and several hundred/thousand others will be doing this, so no worries. (The two platforms are located side-by-side.) Perhaps a local can let you knwo the latest...

Sorry, that should have read: ';...it is unclear from the Web site if direct Trolley service between 12th %26amp; Imperial, Santa Fe Depot, and Qualcomm Stadium still operates...';
