What are the nicest restaurants in or near Indian Wells?

I live in Mass. but I need to plan a very nice business dinner in or near Indian Wells for around 15 people who will be staying at the Hyatt Grand Champions .

Any suggestions for very nice restaurants in the area that are not within the hotel? Thanks in advance.

it%26#39;s me again. My husband wants a nice restaurant but nothing too stuffy. Any suggestions? Someone suggested Wally%26#39;s Desert Turtle but that seems a little stuffy. What about Jillian%26#39;s in Palm Desert?

Norma%26#39;s at the Parker Palm Springs

Zin American Bistro in Palm Springs.

Le Saint Germain in Indian Wells or its sister restaurant Le Vallauris in Palm Springs (these may be too stuffy for you).

Shame on the Moon in Rancho Mirage is good too.

Of all the ones I listed Zin and then Norma%26#39;s are probably the least stuffy.

I second Le St Germaine. We had an awesome meal therre with not only superb food but really outstanding service!

Hi RBCal, Thank you for the recommendations. What is the atmosphere like at Shame on the Moon? Looking for something nice without being overly stuffy. Have you every been to Jillian%26#39;s?

If anything else comes to mind please let me know

Blame it on Midnight, and Shame on the Moon are both great, straight friendly, gay bar/restaurants. Enjoyed them both.

Also in La Quinta we like :

Blend

LG%26#39;s Prime Steakhouse

Hog%26#39;s Breath Inn

LG%26#39;s Steakhouse in LaQuinta. Just down the road on 111 a couple of miles from the Hyatt. We ate their twice in 3 days it was so good. Their specialty is ';sizzling steaks';. Make sure you put your napkin over your shirt when they put the steak in front of you to avoid spatter. It is a pricey restaurant. Our bill was between $150 and $200 both nites (tip included) so it could be an expensive place for a large group. Service was excellent! Waited on right away and everything came in a timely manner. First time we ate their was on a Sunday night around 9:00 p.m. and the second time was 8:00 p.m. on a Tuesday and the staff was attentive both times.

i have to agree, LGs is great. it is not a stuffy atmosphere at all. there are 2 LG Steakhouses - i prefer the atmosphere at La quinta.

If you like mexican, you could try Las Casualas Nuevos on Rt. 111 in Rancho Mirage. It%26#39;s big and always packed, but the food is good as are the margaritas.

Shame on the moon is great for a nice relaxing dinner without being stuffy. Great martinis and cocktails. You should have a reservation because it books up quickly. A real local hangout. They%26#39;ve been there 25 years for good reason.

This post is two years old, so the business dinner has probably taken place. Thanks for your input.
