Stinking Rose restaurant, Bev hills

Hi all

we are off to US in a couple of weeks and only have 2 free days in LA - one we have decided to spend at Universal and the other to do the touristy things such as Bev Hills %26amp; Hollywood - one place we want to go to is the Stinking Rose restaurant, hubby is a big garlic fan and loved the one in San francisco! - any suggestions as to how we fit this into the day? Should we go there last and get a taxi back to hotel - (Beverly Garland )or go there for lunch and do Hollywood in the afternoon?? Can you walk to the restaurant from Bev Hills or Hollywood (or betwwen the 2?) is there a metro close by ?

Beverly Garland will shuttle you to Universal Station and you can catch the metro/ then a bus, to just about anywhere. Go to metro.net and put in ';Universal Station'; as your starting point for the trip, and the address of the restaurant for the destination.

I would visit Universal %26amp; Hollywood on the same day as they are close to one another. Your hotel will has a free shuttle to the Universal City metro rail station. Across the street from the station (on the perpendicular street) is a tram stop where a free tram will take you ';up the hill'; to Universal. (Perhap%26#39;s your hotel%26#39;s shuttle driver will take you up the hill directly. It%26#39;s a 1-minute drive).

From Universal, you can transfer to Hollywood by taking the tram down the hill (or walk down the hill) to the metro rail station and take the metro rail one stop ';toward Union Station'; and get of at the Hollywood %26amp; Highland Station in central Hollywood. (Alternatively, you could take a taxi from Universal -- without having to transfer down the hill -- to Hollywood (about $12).

Stinking Rose is on La Cienega Bl on the eastern edge of Beverly Hills so it%26#39;s ideal to partner these two. Lunch or dinner.

As mentioned above, use METRO.NET to find metro rail and metro bus routes. On the right side of the home page, follow the EXAMPLES and enter your starting and ending points. Be sure to include either your starting or ending time as well as the day of the week.

The Stinking Rose is a fun restaurant. I%26#39;d go at dinner hours, at the end of your day. Don%26#39;t forget to have the Garlic Ice Cream for dessert.
