Need help finding the perfect rental

Hello all! I grew up in Northern California and spent all of my summers on The Russian River. I%26#39;m maddly in love with the place!

I%26#39;m planning a very small family wedding for my brother in July of 2009. His wife of 12 years died 5 years ago and he%26#39;s just now getting re-married.

I%26#39;m looking for something that will sleep about 10 and also be able to accomodate 10 extra guest on the wedding day.

My budget for the house for one week is about $2,000 USD. I%26#39;ve looked at just about every rental website and haven%26#39;t found the perfect spot yet. If anyone knows of anything matching my requests on the river, I would be so amazingly grateful for the info!

You may already have looked at their website, but Russian River Getaways (www.rrgetaways.com) is a good one to check for rentals. I just don%26#39;t know if you can find a large house right on the River for only $2K a wk. That%26#39;s under $300/nite and the 4 or 5 bedroom rentals usually go for more like $400-$500 in my experience. Iin order to expand the possibilities, you might want to contact some of the B%26amp;B inns along the River like Highland Dell and Village Inn (both in the Monte Rio area). But your guests will have to pay something towards their lodging, based upon your budget. Also be sure to do a search on the Forum for ';rental houses'; and also research www.russianrivertravel.com if you haven%26#39;t done so already. Good luck in your search!

Thank you Puter! I guess you must have read my mind because The Mimosa House was the one I really loved and I wrote to the lady right away! She said she wouldn%26#39;t let us use it even for a small wedding because of the neighbors. Poo! I%26#39;ll keep seaching! Good thing I have so long!
