is there any way to get around the high parking charges at the hotel
Hilton Financial District ParkingPark somewhere else.
Will you need a car in the city? If you%26#39;re using it for day trips outside the city, that%26#39;s one thing. Public transportation is quite easily available everywhere within San Francisco.
Parking costs a lot because the area the Hilton is in has very limited parking available. No good way around it, sorry.
Hilton Financial District ParkingOther than to get to and from the hotel i don%26#39;t need the car. but i do need it to transport people and luggage. guess i%26#39;m goiing to have to pay. is there one type of garage that is cheaper than another?
Depending on how many people you have to transport with luggage, a cab or a shuttle may be more cost-effective.
A cab will cost about $45. A shuttle will cost $15 per person, and you may be the first stop or the last stop among the passengers. BART can be OK if the luggage is manageable by each person. There are elevators and escalators.
There was a discussion here yesterday, I believe, which indicated that even if you have several people with luggage it does not cost more for a minivan-type taxi than for a regular one. I would do that.
You may also want to consider arranging for a car service/limo from and to the airport. Here%26#39;s a link to a list of car service companies along with customer reviews. www.yelp.com/search鈥?/a> luck.
