beaches in late sept.?

Hi all, what are the beaches like in late sept.? is the water warm enough for swimming? Crowded still? is parking just as crazy?

In late September the beaches will be less crowded than during the summer or early September. Parking should be easier to find. The exception would be if for some reason we happen to experience a few very hot days at that time. Not likely, but with the crazy weather you never know. Water temps in the Pacific Ocean of never really warm. In late September they will probably be cooler than during August. Pacific Ocean water can be quite bracing at times. If you go in little by little your body adjusts, then you feel a little chilly when you get out!

We were there early September last year when the temp was 100+ and the water temp was only 69 degrees! It was a little cool getting in, but after a couple of minutes, you did not notice it. We were at Huntington Beach and had a good time.
