Need help with second day was going to book hop on/off tour bus but goes to places were not that worried about and have read on here you can wait for ever for the bus

want to see Rodeo drive/ Farmers market/ The Grove Melrose Ave/ and Beverly Wilshire

Is the bus the best bet or can we do this with the car, worried about parking and paying high prices to park

Any help would be great

Rather than do the trolley tour and even bothering with star homes (just gates and hedges), do the On Off tour the first day. Don%26#39;t book more than one tour.

Drive to The Grove from Orchid, it%26#39;s easy and close, then to Rodeo Drive. There is parking available everywhere, most lots at both places are 2 hours free. Beverly Wilshire - walk there when visiting Rodeo since it sits at Rodeo and Wilshire. This will be an easy day, don%26#39;t worry about parking - LA is a car town and parking is everywhere.

I agree with Yoga. You can also buy the hop on, hop off tour for a total of 2 days and it%26#39;s just $10 more. This way, if you can%26#39;t fit everything in in one day, you%26#39;ll have an extra day. Using the hop on, hop off bus to go to Universal will make it worth the cost of paying for the second day. This is because the hop on, hop off bus, unlike the metro rail and metro buses, pulls up at the ENTRANCE gates to the park. The others drop you at the bottom of a hill where you wait to ride a free tram ';up the hill'; to the park. Even if you drive to the park, the parking is now between $12 and $20 and neither parking area is adjacent to the entrance gates.

Thank you both for your advise you both always have the info i need to plan my trip

Thank you

Annemarie

Try to do your own car tour on a Sat or Sunday if possible, the traffic is much much MUCH easier to deal with. On Sat in Beverly Hills, there is a little $5 trolley tour around the city, takes about an hour. Just park and hop on the trolley.

And while you%26#39;re touring Beverly Hills and Bel Air on your own, be sure to stop and visit The Getty Center. The dining room is open until 9pm on Fri and Sat eves for dinner and the views are quite memorable. (Reservations recommended if dining there).

LA is a very easy city to drive in. I don%26#39;t see the point of renting a car if you%26#39;re not going to use it. All the things you mention are within a 10-15 min easy drive from your hotel. Have you looked at a map? You can google for one. You%26#39;ll see just how close all those places are. Everyone in LA drives. There is no reason to worry about parking. This isn%26#39;t NYC or Chicago. Parking is provided almost everywhere either free (The Grove/Farmer%26#39;s Market, on the streets around Melrose Ave, at Rodeo lots for several hours) or at a low cost of under $5. You will spend much more money paying for all of your party for the tour. Totally not worth it in my opinion.

Thanks everyone think we will just drive we like to do our own thing not reaaly tour people

this info is great

thanks
