Is it safe to take kids there now?

Hi,

I have a 11/2 year old daughter and we had plans to go to Tahoe for the long weekend. I am concerned about the smoke there though. How is the situation now? is it safe to go there now or should we make alternate plans?

The smoke is minimal at this time. I drove from Donner Lake to Meeks Bay this morning, clear air all the way. If the fires worsen, check back.

Yes, it is just. The pollen is the only thing floating around in the air right now. But smoke, no.

The pollen is awful this year! I thought I had ashes on my car, but it was just a thick layer of pollen.

Just back from the lake in Incline this afternoon. No smoke here, beautiful weather. There is the pollen on the cars in the parking lot, though. We have members in our family who have Asthma, and no problem breathing.
