fun activities at the disneyland hotel

Is there anything fun we should check out (besides the pool) on our first day at the disneyland hotel? We%26#39;re arriving too late in the day to go to Disneyland.

Well, yea. Check out the entire place, and then go to Downtown Disney. When you check in, make sure and ask for a map of the resort, and just go where you are so inclined. Chuck...

Yes, do take a walk around the hotel%26#39;s grounds. Besides the pool, you will see some nice trees and a pretty water feature. There is a little pond with miniture motorboats that kids can steer from the side of the pond. It%26#39;s pretty cute. Take a look at the art in each tower. There are artists%26#39; renderings of the various lands in Disneyland.

Then, as mentioned, take a walk in Downtown Disney, which is just steps away from the hotel grounds. One of the first places you will come to will be the Rainforest Cafe, which is a restaurant with a shop in front. You could go in and take a look at their aquirium and see what you think of eating in the place. If you are not hungry, you could just take a walk through Downtown Disney and look at each restaurant while ou decide where you might like to eat. Also, Disneyland Hotel has a restaurant called Hook%26#39;s Point. If you feel like really exploring, go further into Downtown Disney and to your right you will come to the path to the Disney%26#39;s Grand Californian Hotel. You could go in there and have a look around. It%26#39;s pretty impressive as it looks like a mountain lodge inside. There is a restaurant there called Storyteller%26#39;s Cafe that might be nice. That one is expensive, depending on what you get. I would actually recommend Ralph Brennans%26#39;s Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney for dinner.

There%26#39;s a lot to see and explore!

Definitely go to the Grand and look around, the Storyteller%26#39;s Cafe is very good for breakfast, you may want to consider Napa Rose at the Grand for a nice meal. We had our 26th anniversary dinner there this past December. Enjoy your time in the Magic Kingdom! :)

Be sure to check out ';World of Disney'; store in Downtown Disney - it%26#39;s a wonderful place to buy souvenirs (and souven-ears too!)
