winter job - housing in tahoe city please???

We are 3 students (girls) from Perú and we re going to work in Lake Tahoe from December 6 until March 25 aprox. We%26#39;d like to find something cheap but comfortable in Tahoe City.. no more than 1500 per month (utilities included). We are 19, clean, friendly, responsible, organized and don%26#39;t plan on being indoors much while we are there. Just looking for someone who could rent us a house or an apt.., or we would appreciate if someone could offer us a youth hostel or cheap housing at hand . I gather you have a student work visa.

In the summer we have such students in Santa Cruz, usually from Ireland, who work at the Boardwalk.

I am sorry I can%26#39;t help you with housing at Lake Tahoe but I hope someone up there can.

Housing can be very expensive in the area between Truckee %26amp; Tahoe City. Have you checked with your employer to find out if they have information about housing in the area that is available to seasonal workers?

Yes you would think that businesses which hire these students would have housing information available, but every year we get messages like this, asking for help with housing in the Santa Cruz area.

I think it is a great program, I always enjoy running into these kids at the Boardwalk and talking to them....I just don%26#39;t understand how it all works logistically.

Are there hostel-type accommodations in that area where students could stay for that extended a period?
